Twitter India Apologises for Poster Row
Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey offends various communities in India by posing for a picture where he is seen holding a poster.
Twitter CEO Jack dorsey came to tour India and also to meet important personalities such as Prime minister Narendra Modi and Shah Rukh Khan.
What might have seemed to be laid back tour turned into a social media nightmare for Mr.Dorsey. A picture of him holding a poster which said ‘Smash Brahminical Patriarchy’ went viral all over social media.
Many tweeter users were offended and began tweeting against the CEO. They were all of the opinion that He was against the brahmin community by holding the poster.
The picture in question was taken after a discussion with female journalists and activists.
Twitter India’s legal team apologised to all the enraged tweets. They said that they took a private photo with the poster which was gift given buy one of the guests and they should have been more thoughtful about it.
This response angered another section of the community and led to a caste based storm yet again.
