Russia has claimed that Ukraine tried to attack President Putin’s house, while Ukraine and US intelligence deny it

Many world leaders reacted strongly. US President Donald Trump said that Putin personally called him to inform about the attack. He said he was angry and did not support such actions. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also posted on X that he was deeply concerned and that diplomacy is the best way to stop the war.
However, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy denied the allegations. He said that these claims were “completely false” and called them “typical Russian lies.” Zelenskyy also said that Russia had previously attacked Kyiv, including the house of a Ukrainian minister.
A surprising update came from a US intelligence official, who said the CIA found that Ukraine was not targeting Putin’s house. Instead, they were targeting a military facility in another part of the Novgorod region, far from Valdai.
According to recent reports, Zelenskyy also stated that Russia launched over 200 attack drones on Ukraine on New Year’s Eve. Meanwhile, Ukraine attacked a hotel and café in the Kherson region, killing 24 people, including a child.
