Vijay Mallya Ready to Pay 100% of His Loan

Vijay Mallya the infamous owner of Kingfisher Airlines had taken a loan of Rs 9,000 crore from 17 different Indian banks. The banks had filed a petition against Vijay Mallya to not allow him to leave the country, but by then it was already too late.
He left the country on 2nd march 2016. Since then the Indian government are trying to bring him back. They have filed a case of fraud against him in the UK court and are in the process of bringing him back to the country.
Vijay Mallya’s tweet on the 5th of december shocked the entire country. He tweeted that he was ready to pay back 100% of his loan. He said that he doesn't want people to think that he stole the money.
Earlier he had requested the UK to not send him back to India. A few days later he made the decision to give back the money.
The Kingfisher Airlines was one of the best airlines in the country, according to Mallya. The oil prices were very high $140 per barrel. That's why he had taken such a big loan. He is now prepared to pay it all back.
The Indian banks are urging the Indian government to accept his offer.
