Virat Kohli's Wax Statue Revealed To Launch World Cup
Wax statue of Virat Kohli unveiled just in time for World Cup start. Will be shown at Madame Tussauds in London.
The ICC World Cup starts today in London at the Oval cricket ground with England & South Africa kicking of the tournament. India will be playing their first match on 5th June against South Africa but the match everyone is looking forward to is against Pakistan on June 16th. Matches will be played at 3pm and 6pm Indian Standard Time (IST). Madame Tussauds is a world famous museum located in London with locations all around the world as well. It has statues of historical figures, popular film actors, television characters, etc
To celebrate the start of the World Cup, they have unveiled the newest member of the Sports section, that is of Indian Captain Virat Kohli. The statue was unveiled at the Lords Cricket ground. The statue will be on display until the 15th of July for the duration of the Tournament. Steve Davis, the General Manager of Madame Tussauds said cricket fever has hit the nation. He hopes that cricket fans would enjoy Kohli on the pitch as well as of the pitch by visiting them at Madame Tussauds London.
Kohli will be joining many great sports men at Madame Tussauds like Usain Bolt, Muhammad Ali and fellow Cricket legend Sachin Tendulakar. Other statues you will be able to see are of Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachan, Aishwarya Rai & Salman Khan, PM Narendra Modi.
