Virat Kohli’s 9-month Old Daughter Gets Rape Threats
The Delhi Commission for Women has issued a notice to Delhi Police over online rape threats to the daughter of Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli.
After India lost the T20 World Cup match against Pakistan, the Indian team faced a lot of trolling on social media. Not only this but Mohammed Shami was also attacked for being a Muslim after India lost the match.
When this happened, captain Virat Kohli supported Shami and said, “Attacking someone over their religion is the most pathetic thing. This shows that people do not understand how hard we train to play cricket for the country we love. Religion is very personal and has nothing to do with cricket. The Indian team stands by him 200 per cent. Our brotherhood in the team cannot be shaken.” After that people started sending hateful messages and comments to Virat. They also sent rape threats to his 9-month old daughter Vamika.
The Delhi Commission for Women said sending rape threats to a child is very shameful. They have asked the Delhi Police to investigate the matter and give a report on it immediately. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has tweeted a message of support to India cricket captain Virat Kohli. He Tweeted : “Dear Virat, These people are filled with hate because nobody gives them any love. Forgive them. Protect the team,"
