Will Samantha Prabhu & Akkineni Naga Chaitanya Divorce?
For a while now there have been rumours about Akkineni Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu filing for a divorce.
One of the most beautiful & famous couples in the Telugu film industry, Akkineni Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu who are famously called ChaySam by their fans, got married in 2017 in a lavish yet private wedding. After her marriage Samantha changed her name to Samantha Akkineni Prabhu. Chaitanya is the son of Akkineni Nagarjuna Rao who is a south Indian superstar. However, for a while now there have been rumours about the couple being unhappy with each other and that they would file for divorce. Samantha always loved cinema. Born into an ordinary family in Chennai, Sam became famous through movies. Reportedly, after marriage she did not want to give up acting in movies, doing daring roles which include kissing or wearing glamorous revealing clothes. But, her husband and father-in-law did not like the movies she acted in. Especially the blockbuster hindi TV series ‘The Family Man 2’’. The family has been in talks with Sam several times to change her mind. The family wanted her to be conservative like Amala Akkineni, her mother-in-law. But Samantha wants to continue working in films and is firm on doing what she wants.
Recently the divorce rumours became even more strong when Samantha changed her name on instagram. She removed ‘Akkineni’ and went back to her maiden name Samantha Ruth Prabhu. According to rumours the couple have already filed for divorce and the couple has been counselled many times in the family court but Samantha & Chaitanya have decided to divorce. Sources say that the divorce will be completed in another two to three months and Samantha will reportedly receive a total of Rs 50 crore as alimony for the divorce, which includes fixed assets and current assets. However the couple have not confirmed the divorce yet. Chaitanya feels bad that people are gossiping like this. A few days ago, Samantha was asked about the divorce rumours as she was visiting the Tirupati temple. She snapped at the person and said, “I have come to a temple, don’t you have any sense?” On the other hand, it seems Naga Chaitanya is copying his wife and is set to act in a hindi movie with Aamir Khan & Kareena Kapoor in the movie Lal Singh Chadha.
