Woman Orders Chicken, Receives Fried Towel
A woman in the Philippines was shocked to receive a fried towel instead of the chicken she had ordered from a popular fast food chain in the country.
A woman in the Philippines ordered chicken from a popular fast food chain in the country. When she received the food, she was shocked. Alique Perez ordered deep fried chicken from Jollibee for her son. When she received the chicken, she found it very hard to slice. So she tried to open it with her hands. When it opened she was surprised to find a deep fried hand towel instead of chicken. She shared photos and videos on Facebook and said, “I am shocked and distrurbed by this. How the hell do you get the towel in the batter and even fry it?". The photos and the video then went viral. A video that she shared on social media had over 2.6 million views. Her post has racked up over 87,000 'shares' and thousands of shocked comments.
According to sources, Jollibee Foods Corp said the branch has been temporarily shut down after the viral post raised health and hygiene concerns. The company said that it would retrain employees to ensure that such incidents are not repeated.
