We are all often frustrated waiting for lifts because it can only carry a limited number of people at once. However, this waiting has now been resolved by “ Kone” which is a lift and elevator manufacturing company.
Kone has now installed worlds largest elevator in Mumbai which can carry upto 200 people at the same time.
For those who are unaware, India is the second-largest elevator market in the world after China. And Now, Reliance Industries has installed the world’s largest passenger elevator at theJio World Centre (JWC) in Mumbai city.

The lift which can accommodate upto 200 people at once, has been hoisted on 18 pulleys and 9 ropes making it safe and just not huge in size. This lift weighs around 16 tonnes and has five stops, the speed of the lift is around 1 Meter per second. Its Unique features also include a glass wall, With a fabulous finish, the lift has luxurious interiors. However, the fact that the world’s largest elevator is now owned by India has made us all proud, it has also attracted some funny comments online. Some people on the internet were seen commenting that “This lift is probably even bigger then their rooms” while others said that they can spend their whole life in that lift without any complaints.
